Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) used to say Bismillah (in the name of Allah) before doing almost EVERYTHING!
He said bismillah before eating, changing clothes, putting on his shoes, making wudu’, and leaving & entering his house.
Please encourage your children to say bismillah before doing anything (i.e starting their homework, eating, drinking, opening things, & removing their clothes)
