Math Updates

Alsalamo Alikom dear Parents

I would like to inform you that in Math we started chapter 4 which is about adding , subtracting, and rounding whole numbers + adding, subtracting and rounding decimal numbers.

Also we will be working on how to apply the problem solving 4 step plan in all problem solving problems.

Quran Updates

Assalamu Alaikum respected parents.

Mashallah we have finished Surat At-tahreem this week with both grade 6.

Inshallah they will be tested on the whole Surah on Friday. November 7th. 

They will be marked on memorization, Tajweed rules application and new vocabulary.

They will get a rubric sent home with their mark if you can kindly sign it and send it back to me.

Attached is a list of all the new vocabulary they learnt from the surah. Please help them get ready for the test inshallah.

It's our Picture day October 31st!
All students have to come to school wearing their uniform neat and bright.

Be sure that they don't miss this day as it is their memory of grade 6 with their friends.

Mix and Match Day

On Thursday, October 30th let your child to come to school wearing mismatched clothing, different socks, clashing colors, and mixed patterns. 

We are mismatching our clothing for fun. However, some children do not have the luxury of having 

clothing that fits, and socks that match. So please send $2 donation with your children that will go towards buying matching hats  and mittens for children in local shelters.

 

Go ahead students and mismatch, and help a child in  need! 

Math Test

InshaAllah Grade 6 will have a Math Test on Tuesday October 28th.

 The test will be on chapter 2 Numeration lessons 2,3,4,6,7,8.

Students have to revise all practices that we did together in their notebooks.

Arabic updates for the arabic speakers

أولياء الأمور الكرام / السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

أود أن أضع بين أيديكم  ما تم تدريسه في  اللغة العربية لهذه الفترة الدراسية , وما سيتم تدريسه لاحقا

القراءة  : تم تدريس موضوعين :-  1- مدرستي الأولى    2- الحقيبة الجديدة

القواعد : الجملة الاسمية - كان وأخواتها  - مركب الجار (الجار والمجرور).

التعبير :كتابة فقرة عن اليوم الأول  في المدرسة  2- وصف البيت 

وفي الفترة القادمة  - إن شاء الله - سوف نغطي في المنهج الدراسي ما يلي:

 القراءة : 1 - بين صديقين           2- تجربة طريفة

القواعد :- الجملة الفعلية      (الفاعل وأنواعه )  (  المفعول به وأنواعه ).

النصوص :   حفظ نص  (المعلم)

التعبير : كتابة فقرة عن أهمية الصداقة .

ملاحظة : سيكون في كل شهر اختبار  شامل لكل ما درس في القراءة, والقواعد , والإملاء  وسوف يتم إعلامكم بذلك مسبقا .هذا إلى جانب الاختبارات اليومية القصيرة  , والأعمال المنزلية.
