Media Literacy quiz - Language

Assalamu Alaikum,

There will be a Media Literacy quiz on Thursday, May 4 for Grade 6 students.  Students will be expected to know the following material for the quiz:

- Media Literacy definitions worksheet (Media Literacy, Mass Media, Popular Culture)
- Advertising definition
- Ad Techniques (Hype, Claim Testimonial/Endorsement, etc.)

AA Dear Parents/Guardians,

Grade 6 students have an upcoming test for Islamic Studies on Friday, April 28, 2017.

Unit D: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Calls for Peace:

• Chapter One – The Peaceful March to Makkah
• Chapter Two – Sulh-ul-Hudaybiyah (The Peace Treaty with Quraysh)
• Chapter Three – Ummu Salamah (A Role Model in Patience and Wisdom)

Study Textbook (Page D2 – D27), and Workbook (Page 143-157).

اختبار اللغة العربية

إلى الأهالي الكرام,

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته, و بعد,

سيعقد اختبار اللغة العربية التحريري  للصف السادس يوم الثلاثاء القادم الموافق 25 إبريل 2017 بمشيئة الله. 

سيشمل الاختبار التالي:

1. من كتاب القراءة:

درس " المتسوّل الصغير"  (( الكلمات و معانيها من الكتاب / الأضداد من الدفتر/ التمرّن على كتابة إجابات أسئلة الدرس)).

2. من كتاب القواعد:

درس الفاعل: على الطالب استنتاج الفاعل من الجملة و تحديد علامة الرفع فقط. 

درس المفعول به: على الطالب وضع المفعول به المناسب في الفراغ.

كان و أخواتها: على الطالب ادخال كان و أخواتها على الجملة الاسمية و تغيير ما يجب تغييره مع ضبط الشكل.

إعراب كان و اسمها و خبرها.

ملاحظة: سيتم مراجعة كل ما ذكر أعلاه بالتفصيل بمشيئة الله في الحصتين القادمتين. أرجو من تلاميذي الأعزاء عدم التردد في الاستفسار عن أي معلومة.

Dear Students,

You need to make a Welcome Sign for one of Canada's place names mentioned on pages 157-159 in Literacy in Action.  The Welcome Sign must be unique in design, have the name of the city and province and have an original slogan.  The sign must be neat and colourful.  It is due on Tuesday, April 11.
